Phase-1: Local Data Stage

This stage has no processes and this stage mentions the original data that is already present in the storage devices such as external storage devices, internal hard drives of the computer

This data is the raw data used by the computer. This includes the files like personal files, system files, program files and configurations, Operating system files and lots more

The most important data which we have to backup is the personal files and the main work related files.

These preferences change from person to person as “Importance” is a relative factor

In the later phases, the data (which is to be backed up) will be backed-up in two places (One backup would be local backup and the other backup would be the in a remote site)
